A group for adults to have fun and learn some new tricks.
Junior Nordics is all about getting kids outside, having fun, and enjoying an Alaskan winter on skis! Skiers of all abilities are welcome to learn, build confidence, and share the trails with friends.
Our volunteer coaches make learning fun while helping kids develop cross-country skiing skills through instruction, games, and plenty of time on the trails.
Lessons take place January through March at Government Peak Recreation Area (GPRA) at the base of Hatcher Pass.
Before You Register
Each child must be registered separately. Add one Junior Nordics registration per child to your cart before checkout.
Junior Nordics is powered almost entirely by volunteers. We ask each family to sign up for at least one volunteer role. If volunteering isn’t possible, you may select the volunteer opt-out option, which includes a $100 donation in place of volunteer time.
Checkout Instructions
Add all desired Junior Nordics registrations, optional ski and pole rentals, and your volunteer sign-up or opt-out donation to your cart.
Once everything has been added, click “Cart” in the upper-right corner of the screen to review your selections and complete checkout.
Your donation helps us maintain beautiful ski trails, host exciting events, and provide programs for all ages. Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
