Expand the Peak

The Mat-Su Ski Club is hoping to expand the 7 km of ski trails at GPRA with an additional 5.5 km in the summer of 2017!

The cross-country ski trails at GPRA are used by high school teams, the Mat-Su Junior Nordics youth ski program, and the skiing public. There are only 7 km of existing trails, which is very scant given the number of skiers in the Valley.

The 7 km of cross-country ski trails at GPRA were established in 2013 by the Mat-Su Borough with help from the Mat-Su Ski Club. The Mat-Su Ski Club grooms and maintains the ski trails with Club volunteers and funds, and a grant from the Mat-Su Borough. But the trails need to be expanded to create more opportunities for skiers in the Valley.

The Mat-Su Ski Club is seeking your help with the expansion. You or your organization can contribute online at www.matsuski.org/MembersDonate. You can also write a check made out to the Mat-Su Ski Club, which would save us a 3% overhead.

For contributions of $2,500 or more, we will put your name or your organization's name on a sign on one of the stream crossings on the new trail. For contributions between $1,000 and $2,499, your name will be put on a plaque to be displayed in the stadium area,

The Mat-Su Ski Club is a 501c3 non-profit organization and your contribution is tax deductible (EIN 26-1217414). We will send you a receipt, with our EIN, either by email, or regular mail, if you send your donation by check.
